SBRT Breakfast Series
The Small Business Roundtable (SBRT) of the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), in coordination with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP), will be conducting outreach efforts to local, regional and national small businesses (considered small under NAICS Code 541330) in the form of a “Monthly Breakfast Series.”
*WHILE THIS EVENT IS PRIMARILY FOR SMALL BUSINESSES, LARGE BUSINESSES ARE
ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND AS WELL* and will be held at NUWC Division Newport Building 80. Personnel without a current CAC Card or NAVSEA badge will need to provide ID in the form of a state-issued driver’s license.
Types of Small Businesses that should attend include those that currently provide, or want to provide, specific engineering and technical support services that align with NUWCDIVNPT’s role as the Navy’s full-spectrum research, development, test and evaluation, engineering, and fleet support center for submarine warfare systems and many other systems associated with the undersea battlespace. NUWC Division Newport is responsible, cradle to grave, for all aspects of systems under its charter, and is engaged in efforts ranging from participation in fundamental research to the support of evolving operational capabilities in the U.S. Navy fleet. The major thrust of NUWC Division Newport’s activities is in applied research and system development.
The SBRT is soliciting ideas for future speakers/topics for the Monthly Breakfast Series, and asks that each small business invite another small business to attend.
