Site Visit / Facility Tour Announcement (Demo)

The Naval Undersea Warfare Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) is hosting a Site Visit/Facility Tour on April 20, 2016 from 0900 – approximately 1000 to provide interested parties with a tour of the unique facilities associated with Solicitation #N00024-16-R-3152 NUWC Code 15 In-Service Engineering/Technical Services. This requirement will be competed as a Small Business Set-Aside via SeaPort-e in Zone 1 (Northeast). This procurement is a new requirement; as such there is no incumbent contractor. All interested large and small businesses are encouraged to attend.

Interested attendees must pre-register via e-mail to Nathaniel Barber at nathaniel.barber@navy.mil.
Please provide the individual’s name, company, phone number, and e-mail address. Registrations will be accepted until 12:00 Noon (EST) on April 15, 2016.

The following rules apply:

• This will be an Unclassified tour
• The tour will be scripted, no questions will be allowed during the tour
• Follow-up questions can be submitted to the SeaPort-e Portal

In addition, questions regarding this requirement can be submitted in advance to the SeaPort-e Portal.

Attendees will gather at NUWCDIVNPT Building 80, located outside of the NUWC Main Gate (Gate 23).
Check-in starts at 0800 and the tour will begin promptly at 0900.

In addition to pre-registration and in order to participate in the Site Visit/Facility Tour, you MUST have at least a SECRET clearance AND an approved Visit Request. Please have your security manager submit a Visit Request through the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS). If you are not in the JPAS, you cannot receive a Visitor Request Badge. Due to the number of visit requests received, three (3) days processing time is required for all Visit Requests. Visit Requests not meeting these requirements will be rejected and access will not be granted.

A Visit Request is mandatory for all visitors to NUWC Division Newport, government and civilian, regardless of the duration or classification of the visit. Access to NUWC Division Newport WILL NOT be granted under any circumstances without a valid visit authorization request on file.

• When completing the Visit Request, use Security Management Office (SMO) code 666045.
• Include Procurement Request Number (PR# 1300342725) in the space allocated for the POC Phone Number.
• Clearance Required: Secret
• In the “Name” block, type in “Nathaniel Barber” and “Stephen Stewart”

On the morning of the event, ALL visitors participating in the Site Visit/Facility Tour MUST check into the Security Desk at the Bldg 80 Lobby and obtain their Visit Request Badges. A Government issued ID and a valid Visit Request Badge are required to access DIVNPT.

• Cell phones and computers will not be allowed on the NUWDIVNPT campus.
